New for 2016 is the “Late Night Friday” presented by JULIE, Inc. where the ThunderBolts will have live music entertainment after the game! July 15th will feature Gina Bach. The first 500 fans on Saturday who are 12 years old and under will receive a full-length wooden baseball bat courtesy of KR3 Bats and stay after the game for the fabulous fireworks show! Every Sunday is Standard Bank Family Day! Bring your family out to the ballpark at a great low price! 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas just for $30! Also after every Sunday game the ThunderBolts will sign autographs and all fans are allowed on to the field to play catch in the outfield. As always kids run the bases after every non-fireworks home game sponsored by Andy’s Frozen Custard.

STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Series assembles the world's top lumberjack athletes to compete in the Original Extreme Sport. The Series is seen by millions of viewers annually in over 62 countries around the world on networks like ABC, Eurosport and the ESPN networks, where it is now recognized as the second longest running show behind only 'SportsCenter'. Athletes compete in a variety of disciplines based on traditional logging skills to determine the best all-around lumberjack. Disciplines include Hot Saw, Single Buck, Springboard Chop, Standing Block Chop, Stock Saw and Underhand Chop. While event is sold out, you can still view the live stream by clicking here.

The Oak Lawn Arts Commission would like to invite you to the Village Green to view their first public art project called “Acorns on Parade”, which began July 5th. The giant painted acorns will be displayed together for two weeks and then will be installed around Oak Lawn in accordance to the wishes of the sponsors who purchased them. These iconic acorns are intended to “sow the seeds of the arts in Oak Lawn,” and will be iconic symbols of Oak Lawn for years to come.

Last year the exhibit,"Abraham Lincoln: Self Made in America" came to the Chicago Southland Lincoln Oasis. The traveling exhibit was created by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. The exhibit features eight kiosks and covers Lincoln's childhood, the Lincoln-Douglas debates, the 1860 Presidential election, the Civil War, the 13th Amendment and Emancipation Proclamation, his assassination and other important periods and events in his life. This is a temporary exhibit, so don't miss the opportunity to learn about a famous part of America's history!
