The 2016 Spring / Summer Festivals & Events Guide Now Available
By Juston Teach published May 03, 2016
It is time to pack away the winter blues, dust off your sandals and enjoy over 548 events during the #SummerofLumber with the Chicago Southland’s 2016 Spring / Summer Festivals & Events Guide.
With the passing of April showers, we encourage you to enjoy the May flowers while attending Chicago Gaelic Park’s Irish Fest during Memorial Day Weekend. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Irish Fest is a must attend event that features traditional Irish music, dance, food and unlimited carnival rides.
The #Summer of Lumber kicks off its inaugural season with the 2016 US Log Rolling Open at Lake Sedgewick in Orland Park, June 11th. Professional Athletes will compete in the best three of five series where the goal is to be the only competitor left standing on the log.
Take part in history this summer as we host the 2016 STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS® Professional and Collegiate Championships, the first professional lumberjack competition to come to Illinois. The completion rips its way into the Tinley Park Convention Center July 15th - 16th and will have the top lumberjacks from all over the country competing in six disciplines to determine who will be the best of the best.
For a free copy of the Festivals & Events Guide, call or email the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau today at 708-895-8200 or [email protected]. Note: If you wish to use an absolute template path (for example, template="/mypath/index.cfm") with CFINCLUDE, you must create a mapping for the path using the ColdFusion Administrator. Or, you can use per-application settings to specify mappings specific to this application by specifying a mappings struct to THIS.mappings in Application.cfc.
Using relative paths (for example, template="index.cfm" or template="../index.cfm") does not require the creation of any special mappings. It is therefore recommended that you use relative paths with CFINCLUDE whenever possible.
