Chicago Southland CVB Achieves Destination Marketing Reaccreditation
Lansing, IL - The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau (CSCVB) recently achieved reaccreditation from the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) for 2012-2016 through Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), the worlds largest association of destination marketing organizations. The CSCVB first achieved accreditation in 2008.
Out of the 600 CVBs worldwide represented by DMAI, the Chicago Southland CVB is one of only eight CVBs in Illinois and 150 worldwide that have received accreditation.
This is a tremendous honor to be recognized in the destination marketing community, and it exemplifies the CVBs level of professional excellence to potential visitors and clients, said Jim Garrett, CDME, President/CEO of the Chicago Southland CVB. With this designation, our local, regional and state partners know that we constantly raise the bar to continually meet, and in many cases, exceed the standards put forth in this program.
The CSCVB demonstrated compliance across 23 reaccreditation standards that focused on several primary capacities including governance, finance, human resources, sales, marketing, management and facilities, innovation, stakeholder relationships and the continuous improvement and development of the CVB.
