Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park
For a fun and educational experience, take part in the Outdoors@theNATE program at Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park located on the campus of Governors State University. Featuring large-scale, contemporary sculptures, the park has 29 that are placed throughout the 100 acres of prairie landscape. The park offers free admission and has guided, customized group tours available for an additional cost.
The Shrine of Christ’s Passion allows visitors to explore a half-mile prayer trail depicting the last days of Jesus Christ’s life. As a great option for religious youth groups, this interactive trail features music and narration at each stop on the trail. With 40 life-size bronze sculptures, throughout the 30-acre park, the attraction is also home to a 10,000-sq.-ft. gift shop and café.
