The first annual Chicagoland Unconventional Bicycle Expo (CUBE) rides its way into the Tinley Park Convention Center, October 2nd - 4th. This is the nation's largest show for unconventional bikes._DDK7647_HP

Inspired by Spezi, an annual German “Special” bicycle show, the Chicagoland Unconventional Bicycle Expo will showcase recumbents, recumbent tricycles, quadracycles, folding cycles, tandems, velomobiles, transporters, electrical bikes, special needs bikes, cargo bikes, child and load trailers, customized designs and accessories.
“It’s exciting to see this show come together,” said Julie Keating, Promoter for C.U.B.E. “I’ve wanted to showcase this for a long time and for it to come to the Chicago Southland is truly wonderful.”

As explained in this Chicago Tribune article by Lee V. Gaines, a recumbent bicycle and tricycle places the rider in a reclined, laid back position. (Click here to read the full article: Niles bike shop to participate in Chicagoland Unconventional Bike Expo.)
"A recu2014-Bella-1.jpg1_normalmbent tricycle is a great solution for someone who has trouble with their balance," said Joe Reichert of Amling's Cycle, which will be one of the largest exhibitors at CUBE.

Keating also mentioned in the article that the traditional bicycle would cause pain in her wrists. She said a lot of customers who will benefit from attending CUBE might have a variety of physical issues ranging from neck and knee problems to Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and ataxia.

The expo will include educational seminars, access to the nation's top unconventional bicycle dealers and test rides on the latest models. While visiting, take advantage of the countless miles of trails that weave throughout the Chicago Southland including the newly finished Cal-Sag Trail.

Share your experience and new bike by tagging your pictures with #CUBE15 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Note: If you wish to use an absolute template path (for example, template="/mypath/index.cfm") with CFINCLUDE, you must create a mapping for the path using the ColdFusion Administrator. Or, you can use per-application settings to specify mappings specific to this application by specifying a mappings struct to THIS.mappings in Application.cfc.
Using relative paths (for example, template="index.cfm" or template="../index.cfm") does not require the creation of any special mappings. It is therefore recommended that you use relative paths with CFINCLUDE whenever possible.
