CSCVB's Mary Patchin Named Smart Women In Meetings Industry Leader

Olympia Fields, Ill. – (March 1, 2023) – In the March edition of “Smart Meetings” magazine, Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Vice President of Sales, Mary Patchin, was named a 2023 Smart Women in Meetings Award winner in the Industry Leader category. The award was announced in conjunction with the start of Women’s History Month.

“With so many talented women in the meetings industry, I’m incredibly honored and humbled by Smart Meetings recognition,” Patchin said.

Mary has spent her entire 23-year CSCVB career in the sales department and has been incredibly active in the CVB World, serving as the former Chair of Meet in Illinois for 8 years, received the Certified Destination Management Executive Designation by Destinations International in 2012, and was recognized by Collaborate magazine (now Connect) as 40 under 40 in the CVB World in 2014. She’s instrumental in coordinating the national sales tradeshow schedule and other sales activities to bring group business (meetings, sports, group tours, and social events) to the region.

“Everyone in the hospitality industry in the Chicago Southland knows how hard working and wonderful Mary is, so it’s fantastic she’s been recognized nationally as an industry leader. She definitely deserves it!,” said Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau President/CEO Jim Garrett.

Winners will be celebrated at a gala dinner at the Smart Women Summit in New York City in August.
