Brace yourself, winter is coming and what better way to prepare then picking up the 2016 – 2017 Fall / Winter Festivals & Events Guide from the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau. Featuring over 322 unique events, the 2016 – 2017 Fall / Winter Festivals & Events Guide will help you navigate even the weariest of winters.
Anyone can have lunch with Santa but it takes a true believer to have lunch with the Grinch when he comes to Chuck’s Southern Comforts Café in Burbank from December 18th – 23rd. Make sure to bring your camera for this can’t miss event and who knows, your heart might grow three sizes from the wonderful memories made.
The only thing more beloved in winter than the Jamaican Bob-sled team must be Musher Mania at the Monee Reservoir. On January 14th, the 23rd annual event will mush its way into Monee and feature the beauty and traditions of the Iditarod sled dogs.
When winter leaves us down, we need to look towards March to lift our spirits and what better way than with the unending Irish celebrations. The Oak Forest Fleadh on March 4th will allow you to run or walk a 5k throughout downtown Oak Forest while onlookers can partake in a pub and restaurant open house.
