An interactive exhibition, “A Salamander Tale” provides a fun approach to learning about salamanders and ways to protect their habitats. The exhibition includes salamander-shaped furniture displaying text and graphics, a video game guiding a virtual salamander through a river environment, and lifelike dioramas of different salamander species. While visiting, be sure to search the nature center for signs of Spot the Spotted Salamander, the nature center’s mascot. The exhibition was organized by the Purdue Agriculture Exhibit Design Center, Purdue University, and is brought to the Forest Preserve through funding provided by The Nature Foundation of Will County. The exhibition will be located indoors in an accessible facility.
