Ring in the New Year, Chicago Southland-style!

10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1... Happy New Year! Well, not quite yet, but who isn’t excited to celebrate this New Year’s Eve? Check out some of the great events below to ring in the new year!

For those who have little ones with bedtimes before midnight, have no fear! You can head over to Frankfort Park District’s New Year’s Countdown at Founders Community Center on December 30. From 11AM-12:30PM, kids can enjoy party games, crafts, ice cream and a “Countdown to 2023” balloon drop at noon. Be sure to register before December 27!

Also taking place on December 30 is Noon Year’s Eve Celebration at Palos Heights Recreation Center. With a variety of activities for you and your children age 10 and under, check out their miniature Times Square and enjoy a balloon drop at noon. Be sure to register in advance!

On December 31, Haunted Trails Family Amusement Park & Picnics will be holding a New Year’s Eve Family Party at both their Burbank and Joliet locations. Eat some great food and play fun games before enjoying a special balloon drop, toast and countdown celebration. Advanced registration is required!

For those looking to celebrate on New Year’s Eve, at midnight, be sure to check out New Year’s 2023! on Western Avenue & York Street in Blue Island at 11:30PM. Enjoy music, a ball drop and fireworks before continuing the revelry along Western and Olde Western Avenue.

Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park will be holding their Ring In The New Year celebration from 6:30PM-1AM on December 31. With live entertainment, dinner and a top shelf open bar, you won’t want to miss this fun-filled evening. Looking for an extra special meal to help ring in the New Year? La Voute Restaurant will be holding their Parisian New Year on December 31. Featuring a 5-course, Paris-inspired meal for $120 per person (additional $80 per person for wine pairings,) you can choose between a seating time of 5PM or 7:30PM.
