Frankfort Bluegrass Festival

The Chicago Southland is home to dozens of festivals throughout the year, and Frankfort is home to one that will get you tapping your toes and dancing in the streets. The Frankfort Bluegrass Festival was founded over a dozen years ago as a not-for-profit, free, family event showcasing talents of bluegrass performers from throughout the world.

See over 40 performances from more than 20 local, regional, national and international acts on one of two stages in Historic Downtown Frankfort. The event also includes arts and crafts vendors, jamming tents, workshops, a kids tent and activity area, food vendors and more.

This nationally recognized event has been nominated numerous times as “Best Event of the Year” by the International Bluegrass Association (the only Midwest event to be nominated in the top 5) and was a winner in 2019.
