Day One: Born in Silence

articipants begin with an Underground Railroad tour in Crete, visiting verified safe houses and sites linked to fugitive slaves’ escape routes, emphasizing local abolitionist efforts. ​ The day continues with a guided exploration of the Pullman Historic District, showcasing its transformation from a company town to a revitalized historic neighborhood, including visits to the Greenstone Church, Market Square, and Hotel Florence. ​ Meals are optional and not included in the tour price. ​

Day Two: Built to Triumph

The focus shifts to Chicago’s Black Metropolis, exploring African American heritage through stories of resilience from the Civil War to the Civil Rights and Black Arts Movements. ​ The tour highlights influential figures such as Jean Baptiste Point DuSable and President Barack Obama, including a visit to the Obama Presidential Center in Hyde Park, which features exhibits, art installations, and panoramic views. ​ Meals are optional.

Day Three: Exceeded Beyond Limits
