A. Fusion Restaurant (4601 Lincoln Highway, Matteson)
For innovative twists on classics, head to A. Fusion Restaurant. Serving Asian cuisine with inspirations from Chinese, Japanese and Thai foods, A. Fusion delights diners with inventive sushi creations, including Long Beach rolls, Mexican maki and Vegas maki. Asian Harbor (1930 Ridge Road, Homewood)
In the heart of downtown Homewood, Asian Harbor dishes out some sea-riously good sushi. A few of their popular options include the spicy tuna roll, the crazy roll and the Chicago roll, which is deep fried and stuffed with crabmeat, avocado, tuna and cream cheese. Asian Harbor also serves Thai- and Chinese-inspired meals, like curry and orange chicken.
Ichiban (10135 South Harlem Avenue, Suite B, Chicago Ridge)
Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, Ichiban is a quiet, comfortable eatery with a large menu. Japanese-style hibachi and traditional Chinese eats are on the menu alongside a variety of sushi dishes. Be sure to try two of Ichiban’s signature sushi rolls: the Chicago Ridge roll (made with tempura whitefish, avocado, fresh salmon, eel sauce and spicy mayo) and the Harlem roll (made with shrimp tempura, crabmeat, cream cheese, white tuna, tempura crunch, spicy mayo and sriracha).
Sushi Nova (16081 LaGrange Road, Orland Park)
AYCE aficionados will love Sushi Nova’s lunch and dinner buffet options. In addition to traditional nigiri, sashimi and rolls, appetizers such as gyoza and yakitori are included in the all-you-can-eat options, along with delicious sides like fried rice, miso soup and baby octopus salad. A large gluten-free menu and gluten-free soy sauce are also available.
