Fifteen stunning pieces adorn buildings throughout Homewood and include scenes such as a retro movie theater and a greenhouse.
The Wildflower Farm, Monee – Strike a pose amongst the beautiful fields of flowers at this locally owned, boutique flower farm that grows a variety of blooms, including sunflowers and dahlias. Take advantage of the U-pick options available and take home your own bouquet, and visit the ducks, goats and bunnies for even more photo fun.
Lake Katherine Nature Center, Palos Heights – This sprawling 85-acre natural refuge features a man-made waterfall, a prairie and an arboretum, making this peaceful park a relaxing spot for some pics. Hundreds of different animal species can be found on the grounds of Lake Katherine, allowing for unique photo opportunities.
Pullman State Historic Site, Chicago – Travel back in time with a visit to the only national historical park in Illinois. The sprawling Pullman neighborhood features ornate buildings perfect for bold and unique backgrounds or standalone shots. Visit the stunning administration-clock tower building, the striking Greenstone Church and the grand Hotel Florence for the best images.
Stellwagen Farm, Orland Park – In the 1800s, the Stellwagen family first settled in the Chicago Southland, establishing this beautifully preserved farmstead. Put a rustic spin on your snapshots and enjoy the charming farmhouse, imposing main barn, sprawling fields and acres full of even more structures to explore.
The Shrine of Christ’s Passion, St. John, Indiana – Capture the serene beauty and spiritual depth of The Shrine of Christ’s Passion, located just outside of the Chicago Southland. This peaceful sanctuary offers photographers a unique opportunity to document a one-of-a-kind journey alongside 40 life-size bronze sculptures depicting the final days of Jesus Christ, set against a backdrop of lush landscapes.
