
Loren Petrakis-Mueller Hired as Communications Manager at Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau

Lansing, Ill. – Loren Petrakis-Mueller has stepped aboard as Communications Manager at the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau. As she sails along, Loren will be responsible for marketing communication strategies that increase awareness to the Chicago Southland.
Loren arrived to the Chicago Southland CVB with over 25 years of advertising, marketing and photo experience. On her last voyage, Loren worked at the Kankakee Valley Park District as a Marketing Manager. “Coming from 37 parks and facilities to 62 municipalities is a challenge that will hopefully enhance my skills for the future,” said Petrakis-Mueller. Loren’s maiden voyage was in Will County where she grew up in Beecher and attended Prairie State College transferring to Valparaiso University in neighboring IN. She has worked and lived around the region her entire life.
“Loren brings a diverse skill set to our talented marketing team,” said President/CEO Jim Garrett of the Chicago Southland CVB. “Her passion for her craft will allow our communications and public relation’s programs to take the next step and attract more visitors to the Chicago Southland.”
The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination management and marketing organization for Chicago’s 62 south and southwest suburbs.
