Five-day summer camps for children age 12-15. Climb a tree with ropes, learn to make fire with and without matches, and how to tend the fire safely. Learn a variety of wilderness campfire cooking skills (think Bear Grill). Campers will practice knife safety as well as identify and harvest wild edible plants. We’ll build shelters, paddle a canoe, and purify water and learn knots and compass skills too. Register by Thursday before the session begins. Cost: $105 per program.

Let certified instructors help you get out on the water this summer to enjoy the outdoors in a canoe or kayak! We may play some games or take a tour, whatever the group is up for! Afterwards we’ll head back to shore and roast some hot dogs and s’mores by a fire. This is a recreational, non-instructional program. All equipment is provided. Participants should wear clothing that can get wet, including water shoes or old gym shoes. Previous experience is recommended. The launch area is easily accessible by a paved sidewalk trail from the parking lot. We also offer private, one-on-one instruction.
