Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau Awards Grant to Non Profit Organization
Lansing, Ill. – The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau recently awarded $6,050 to Future Entrepreneurs of America, Metropolitan Junior Baseball League Inner-city Classic tournament scheduled to be held throughout the Chicago Southland.
The Future Entrepreneurs of America, Metropolitan Junior Baseball League Inner-city Classic was awarded $6,050 for promotion that will cover 50 percent of the radio advertising campaign, online radio commercials, website update and postcards for the tournament to be held July 18th- 23rd. The tournament will be held at various fields in the Chicago Southland including Matteson, Park Forest, University Park, Richton Park, Dolton, South Holland, Chicago Heights and more. This event will feature youth teams ranging from 8-19 yrs old with over 60 teams participating from across the U.S.
The Chicago Southland CVB’s Local Tourism Grant Program is designed for not-for-profit organizations and / or municipalities for promotion of their meetings, sports events, festivals and attractions targeted to visitors outside the Chicago Southland region. Annually, the Bureau can award up to $51,000 in six grant cycles. The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau’s grant program has been in existence since 1991 and has awarded over one million grant dollars.
The Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official destination management and marketing organization for Chicago’s 62 south and southwest suburbs. The Chicago Southland CVB markets the Chicago Southland region as a destination for leisure, meetings and conventions, group tour and sports events.
